WSJ1

I’m not a big reader of The Wall Street Journal, but this is just such a great example of a mobile site done very right!  The WSJ Mobile Edition looks fabulous on the iPhone. WSJ4

I just happened to notice it when browsing appSafari the other night and found myself spending more time on the site just because it was so appealing and slick to use.

A few simple things that struck me as very good design included:

  • Good navigation links at both top and bottom of each page, especially in the footer - I love not having to resort to using the back button
  • Very clear section headings - making it easy and appealing to jump to the Technology section, for example.
  • Easy links at the bottom of each article, for emailing the article to a friend *and* emailing the article author.

Anyway, the WSJ Mobile Edition is not brand new - but it caught my eye, and I’ve bookmarked it and may even give it a read more often now.
