Toodledo Gets Even More iPhone Optimized

toodledonew

Toodledo - which came out on top in my recent rundown of to-do list applications for iPhone - has given its iPhone interface a refresh, and it’s looking great.

Toodledo was already the first online to-do list app to be customized for iPhone, and now they’ve enhanced the UI, and it looks and feels toodledo4even more like ‘an iPhone app’.

The new main screen gives you quick links to your Hot  list, Folders, or your list of tasks by Due Dates, Priorities, and more (as shown in the screencap above).

Here’s some other notable features of the new interface:

  • You can add a task directly from any page.
  • You can sort your lists.
  • There is a settings menu item where you can set the default start page.

The new version has taken some getting used to for me, but I’m liking it overall. I particularly like being able to set the main screen according to my preference. I tend to like to see Overdue tasks or my Hotlist as soon as I go to the app.

For implementing GTD you might try out this web-based application:

    Gtdagenda

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.

As with the last update, now Gtdagenda has full Someday/Maybe functionality, you can easily move your tasks and projects between “Active”, “Someday/Maybe” and “Archive”. This will clear your mind, and will boost your productivity.

    Hope you like it.

dannielo - thanks for the suggestion. Just gave that a try. Seems like a pretty capable web app with a nice GTD implementation - but not good at all on the iPhone IMO. Its mobile version may look splendid on a Razr or something, but it looks pretty lame on an iPhone - all the links and page elements are very small. IMO, it does not stand up at all against apps like Toodledo, Remember The Milk, or any of the ones that have made real iPhone versions …
