Griffin Launching FM Transmitter for iPhone

itripautosmartscan_1

Griffin have been showing off their new iTrip AutoPilot FM Transmitter for the iPhone (and iPods as well) at Macworld.  This is said to be the first Apple-sanctioned FM transmitter - and one that does not force you to switch the iPhone to Airplane mode in order for it to work (apparently an issue with some earlier offerings for the iPhone).

Not a whole bunch to say about its looks - it uses a cigarette lighter and iPod dock connector as you’d expect, and has a display that Ars Technica reckoned is ‘crisp and bright’ when they checked it out at Griffin’s Macworld booth.

The iGrip AutoPilot is available for pre-order now (due to be shipping next month) at $99.99.

More details at the Ars Technica post HERE and Griffin’s product page
