I like a lot of those suggestions from all of you - integrated PIM app would be nice (though I'd prefer something 'lighter' than PI now), IM client as well.
Oh, and I have lots of time to spare, all of the rest of this month really :)

What's on my iPhone app wishlist? Well, how much time can you spare for me to bend your ear about this? ;)

You actually captured most of what I already want - a password manager (I have been using SplashID for years, and am thrilled that they already announced plans for an iPhone app), video recording, sync-able notes and tasks, and an RSS reader. Although I'm not a big instant messaging user, I would like a native instant messaging app.

But the killer app (and content, of course) I really want is an ebook reader. I know, I know - using the iPhone this way will probably have a drastic negative effect on daily battery life, but I miss the convenience of having multiple ebooks with me wherever I go from my Palm PDA days. I've been tempted by the Kindle, particularly because of the wireless ebook downloads and the amount of content available, but I am repulsed by its price and design, and I'd rather avoid carrying another device when my iPhone has already nicely converged my iPod and cell phone.

When Steve Jobs said the SDK will be available in late February, I'm thinking that really means the 29th. Here's to hoping for some good apps shortly thereafter!

Voice dialing and really good search are tops.

Other applications. I would like to see a comprehensive contact/calendar app that uses the current data. Something along the lines of PocketInformant on the Pocket PC (are you listening Catamount?). I would like to be able to look up a contact and schedule a meeting from there, more calendar views and history.
