iPhone video recording app now records in QuickTime movie format
ShowTime - the iPhone video recording app from Polar Bear Farm - has just been updated, and the big news with this update is that it now records to a .mov QuickTime movie format.
So you can now copy the video across to a computer and play it on a Mac or a PC - hurrah!
Most of ShowTimes other specs are as before: 320X427 resolution, 6fps capture rate. The video is still uncompressed, so still takes up a lot of space - but the guys at PBF are working on adding audio, then compression, so that the frame rate can be increased.
The trial version limits you to 5 seconds of recording. If you get a license key you can get beyond that restriction.
The new version is on Installer now. I’ve just been playing with it for the last few minutes after watching the (awesome) NBA Slam Dunk Contest …
