MobileToDoList Updated

 MobileToDoList iPhone app MobileToDo2

MobileToDoList - the native to-do list application for the iPhone - has been updated to Version  0.60rc1.

I guess I’ve missed a few interim versions because several things in this version feel new to me.  The actual list of changes on this version is:

  • 1.1.3 firmware compatible (as Mobile user)
  • Added an About view with web links
  • Typos corrected
  • Better alarm repetition

An Overview screen / view and some sort of sharing features are said to be coming soon

It is good to see an update for MobileToDoList, and it does now have a few more features and views than in its early incarnations - but I think this app will need to be developed a lot more once the SDK arrives.  I imagine it will have quite a few competitors fairly soon, as a task management program has been high on a lot of people’s wish lists for the iPhone.

I think MobileToDoList is OK if you’re not a heavy or power user of a to-do list sort of app; if you have very few tasks on the go at once.  If that’s the case a very simple app may suit you well.  But for a lot of users, I think the feature list will need to grow a fair bit, and the look and feel - and ease of navigation - of the app needs to improve a whole lot to compete in coming months.

That’s my quick take - what do you all think?
