We are happy to announce that we have just submitted a new version of SwirlyMMS to the Ste source repository! Expect to see it soon on the Installer. The major feature in this release is the capability to receive MMSs, which we know many of you have been quite eager for…
So, now you can both send and receive MMSs with your iPhone!
Very good news for all you MMSers. The new version 0.3 of SwirlyMMS allows you to receive MMS messages!
The update also includes a few bug fixes, and the developers stress that this release is still ‘very rough’.
It should be available soon on Installer …

Hey nate - there’s a guy reporting in this forum thread that it works for him on AT&T:

i was reading on EIC that you have to call AT&T and specifically tell them to provision your account to be able to send/receive MMS if you have an iPhone plan. iPhone plans by default have MMS disabled. I have a plan still from when I had my Tilt and N95-3 and MMS is active on my account. However, I’ve not tried the latest version of swirlyMMS. I will have to look into it, the last version I tried was EXTREMELY buggy.
