Good News for iPhone Bands - Now There’s a Drummer App

MooCowMusic

Man I wish I was more musically gifted.  Or at all musically gifted would be good even.   If you are a musically inclined person, there’s more good news on the ‘Let’s form an iPhone band’ front this weekend - the folks at Moo Cow Music - makers of the excellent Pianist app (which was originally called iAno) - have released a new iPhone drumming app called Drummer.

If you’re thinking of setting up an iPhone band to rival these guys, now you can start your drumming auditions, and make use of these Drummer features:

  • A 15 sample Drum Pad for your iPhone / iPod Touch.
  • Multi-touch. Up to 5 pads can be pressed at once.
  • Animated pads illuminate at your touch.
  • Play along to all your MP3s.
  • Change between drumkits at the touch of a button.
  • The following kits come pre-installed: Rock, Dance, Jazz 1 and 2, and Electro.
  • Drumkits are fully expandable to allow you to add your own samples

Even more good news is that Moo Cow Music are also planning to release their ‘Guitarist’ application very soon.

The Moo Cow apps all look excellent and are fun to play with for someone like me.  In the hands of those who know what they’re doing, they’re even more fun - there are already lots of very cool YouTube videos of people playing ‘Clocks’ and other tracks on Pianist, just as one example.

The Drummer app is available now in Installer.  Just add Moo Cow’s source in order to see it under the Toys section:
