iPhone To Get Full Exchange & Activesync Support

apple-sdk-enterprisefeatures

I’m following Engadget’s (as always) excellent live blogging of the Apple SDK / Software Roadmap event - and there’s already some BIG and very good news on the Enterprise features side.

They’ve just announced the long list of enterprise features that customers ask for most (as shown in the pic above) :  Push email, push calendar, push contacts, Global address list, Cisco IPsec VPN, Certificates and Identities, Enforced security policies, Device config., Remote wipe - and said that we’ll get ALL of those in the next iPhone update!

That is huge for anyone wanting Exchange support, and for tons of folks who previoulsy held off on iPhone because of these things not being there.

Great start - hope it keeps rolling …
