Need Some Good (USA) 3G News?

Not a date for a 3G iPhone launch - of course not.  That would be an all caps, shout it from the rooftops type headline I think.  But there has been some quite good news about the speed of the AT&T 3G network, and some very good news on their plans for cranking it up several notches next year.

Computerworld reported this week on tests they ran on all the major 3G network providers here in the US - and AT&T was a clear winner.

Even better news are the reports that AT&T is promising a huge boost in the speed of their 3G network next year - from a current maximum of 3.6Mbps on its HSPA service all the way up to 20Mbps!  That should take it from fast to flat out blazing.

So if you needed any more reasons to be lusting after that 3G iPhone we all just know is going to be here any minute …
