Citrix Working on Remote Connection Client for iPhone

Even though many of us rave about the handheld computing power found in the iPhone, there are still times where we’d also like to use the iPhone to control one of our ‘real’ computers back at home or at an office location.

Citrix is a long-time leading company that’s been providing remote desktop connectivity solutions for Windows and other platforms for a number of years - and apparently they’re now working on an iPhone client.

In fact, ZDNet in Australia reports that they’ve even demo-ed the client working on an iPhone and connecting to a remote Windows machine at a recent company event.

There are a number of options around for connecting to remote systems from the iPhone - from several web-based ones to the native VNSea jailbeak app - but it would be very cool to see an offering from an established leader like Citrix in this area, although I wonder how affordable a Citrix client might end up being, as they are traditionally not an inexpensive option in corporate environments …
