If you bought your iPhone on the original launch day, then your warranty coverage is set to expire in just a few more days (on June 29).
If you’re keeping your V1 phone though, you can choose to purchase extended AppleCare coverage for it, for $69.95. Here’s part of the description of what that gets you:
The AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone extends your repair coverage to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone.(2) Whether you use iPhone with a Mac or a PC, just one phone call can help resolve most issues.
Should your iPhone need service under the plan, Apple-authorized technicians will repair it or provide a replacement using genuine Apple parts.
My current plan is to keep the V1 iPhone and see if my wife will take it over, so I may think about getting this coverage. How about you all - planning to make use of this if keeping your current iPhone?
