iPhone 3G Sold Out In Lots of Places & Lines Still Around

TexasAvailability

It seems that iPhone 3G mania has got some stamina, and it’s still hanging around on Day 5 after the new model’s launch.  Infinite Loop (and plenty of other sites) are reporting that there were still some major lines - with wait times up to four hours) in large US cities like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco today.

Apparently, up to 21 states may also now be completely out of stock of iPhone 3G models as well.  The outlook in Texas as of right around 11:00pm here is not good - as shown in the screenshot above from Apple’s retail availability site.

I honestly didn’t follow the V1 launch day and aftermath as closely last year - but it just feels like this year the craziness is a little more extended maybe?  In any case, if you’re still on the hunt for an iPhone 3G looks like you’re going to have to work for it still.  Worth checking the Infinite Loop post for more details on which states have run out of stock, and also checking the Apple retail availability site.

If you are still looking, good luck out there :)

    Yay!

Greens on the Santa Clara store!

This is the same store where Steve Wozniak allegedly cut in line… LOL.

I’m 50/50 - I always have excuse that it’s all sold out, but looking at it now, both the store here in Santa Clara/San Jose seems to have tons of supply… Must not go to the mall….must not go… :P

I’m enjoying the 2.0/appstore on my 1st gen right now. I’ve noticed that it crashed more often though. :(

Anywho, lots of iTunes receipts are coming my way. LOL.
