I lost all apps and data when I upgraded using WinPwn 2.5, but I remember that not happening with 2.0. There might be a setting to keep your data on the phone, so just play around with the .ipsw. Not sure if I wanna bother upgrading from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2. I use Exchange for contacts and calendar and my device is definitely a bit slower for it.
