My (5 year old) daughter has been taking to the iPhone like the proverbial duck to water. She’s been using my original 2G for the last few weeks. At first, she mostly played tons of games, and enjoyed quite a few ‘educational’ apps as well.

More recently, she’s also been using the iPhone camera and the Notes and Photos apps quite a bit. Since she has by now got comfortable with sending emails from the Notes app, and today learned about using the Mail app, I bit the bullet and setup an email account of her own for her today. And then I got this:

That was unprompted and after no help at all with the Notes app and very little guidance (very little!) on how to use the mail app. I’m not sure what the deal is with the periods after each word - I’ve asked her and been told ‘I like it, go away’ more or less :)

BTW, please don’t panic - I don’t plan on hitting you with frequent ‘Isn’t she adorable’ type posts (although I will continue reviewing iPhone apps for kids) - just couldn’t resist on this one …
