Lifehacker has a good post up today on a new update to OrbLive - the popular streaming application for the iPhone – which adds a couple of very cool sounding features:
– Ability to record live streams for playback later
– The ability to skip around randomly during video playback
The update also includes “a few other playback enhancements”. Orb has also recently added some Mac compatibility (was previously Windows-only). I haven’t played with Orb for quite a while (may do now that it supports Mac) but imagine this update should be quite good news for OrbLive users …

UPDATE: Thanks to psylichon (and his comment below) for correcting me on the second major feature added. Post updated accordingly.

If you’re referring to the latest update, the second feature they added was the ability to skip around randomly during video playback, not zoom. Before it was from the beginning only with no fast forward or rewind.
You could always zoom in on a video one level by double-tapping.
Dave – thanks for the heads-up. Like I say I haven’t used it on iPhone so far, and took Lifehacker’s word for it. Post updated now …
Glad I could help. This app is truly awesome (for the PC user, and hopefully soon for the Mac user). It has become the center of my media world.
