Lifehacker has a great post up featuring a clever DIY horizontal stand for the iPhone (3G or V1) – made entirely from pencils and rubber bands. The idea is from The Geeky Gadgets blog site, and it looks easy enough to do. I may get my daughter on the case with this one soon
