Mashable has a good post up this evening highlighting the most popular clients for the Twitter micro-messaging service, based on stats from the Twitter analytics service TwitStat. The Top 10 list caught my eye because it includes a few leading iPhone apps.
Tweetie – my current favorite – ranks number 6 on the list. TwitterFon, another highly rated iPhone Twitter client, comes in at number 9. Twitterific – which has both a desktop and an iPhone version – is at number 5, just marginally ahead of Tweetie.
Nice to see two (and a half) iPhone stalwarts doing so well.

I used Twitterific and seemed fine to me.
cleveland – I know lots of people love Twitterific – I gave it a try on iPhone and desktop, and just never got gripped by it …
