Here’s one nice new OS 3.1 update item that I hadn’t seen mentioned until just a short while ago – it fixes that pesky )and very annoying) wrong icons bug in iPhone OS 3.0, that had been hanging around for nearly three months.  At least according to Apple’s details page for the update that [...]

Mixed Up iPhone Icons Bug Still Around

August 17, 2009

Up to now, I’ve been fortunate and not been affected by the commonly reported ‘mixed up icons’ bug on iPhone OS 3.0 – where apps display the correct name but the wrong icon, and similar issues.  The bug has been around for a couple months, and apparently is still affecting plenty of users, according [...]

Last night I got into ‘have my cake and eat it too’ mode – as in, I decided I needed to apply the 3.0.1 urgent security update for the iPhone, but also wanted to get straight back to being jailbroken.
I managed to get both things done last night, and took some quick notes [...]
