Mike over at Phone Different has spotted a very interesting system message in the Leopard Notes program, that seems to offer proof that iPhone Notes sync is intended to be built into Leopard.

When trying to change the default font in a note, he is warned that making this change will force the note to be converted to rich text format, which may not be editable on ‘iPhone and other devices’.

That looks like (more) good news for Leopard users. Hopefully Notes sync will be added to a future update, and then lots of you will have to choose whether to temporarily give up all your 3rd party apps for the sake of enjoying this new feature. :)

That makes sense. They should add it soon because notes is one of my most used apps.

Absolutely they should, and Tasks app / tasks sync as well. Those are amongst the various big missing pieces right now. Oh, and whatever the solution is, there needs to be one for Windows users as well …
