DroidAd

Ohhh shit, y’all. This is getting dirty. Motorola/Verizon’s newest Droid ad not only depicts the iPhone as a tiara-wearing, Sandra-Bullock-worshipping Barbie doll, it actually shows a clearly identifiable iPhone. It’s both inflammatory and in your face. Right up in it!

That’s from Gizmodo’s Dan Nosowitz’s post on the latest Verizon / Motorola TV ad for the Droid.  They take some pretty big swings at the iPhone – asking whether a phone should be pretty and even …

Should it be a tiara-wearing, digitally clueless, beauty pageant queen?

Their answer is no – it should be rough and tough and fast, and should "rip through the web like a circular saw through a ripe banana”.  The final line states that the Droid trades

hairdo for can-do

That’s some big, big talk from the latest iPhone Killer device.  Wasn’t it the Palm Pre that was the leader of that pack a few minutes ago?  Wonder how good all that talk will sound in a year’s time.  Check out the video above and see what you reckon …

Let's not forget the Samsung Instinct before THAT.

LOL – wasn't that forgotten within about 10 days of its launch? :)

That one was a secret agent. So secret, in fact, that we can't find it.

I remember watching that Sprint ad and marveling at how ridiculous it was. Your audience resonates with this how, exactly?
