Brushes iPhone app

Back in January, I posted about some amazing sketches done with the iPhone Brushes app, by a Disney artist called Stef Kardos.  Today we’ve got another ‘iPhone artist’ to highlight.  The screencap above is of a drawing by a Portuguese artist called Jorge Columbo, done on his iPhone using the Brushes application.

I’ve seen how good Brushes is first hand.  Not via my own efforts – I can’t draw my way out of a paper bag, in fact cannot even draw the paper bag!  My daughter loves drawing and painting though, and she loves using Brushes, and is quite skilled with it I think.

Read on for more of Jorge’s incredible drawings …

I’m no artist, or art critic, but these images are just fantastic in my view, especially knowing they’re created entirely on an iPhone.

They’re also in a very good aspect ratio for using as iPhone wallpapers – which is great because then when people ask about them, it’s a great ‘wow factor’ sort of answer, when you explain how they were created.
