Part 1
My wife and I were heading to the airport last night to stay at a local hotel since our flight, currently delayed for HOURS was scheduled to leave before dawn. It was not the airport closest to us and there was terrible traffic on
the road. We needed to reroute but for some reason my wife’s GPS would not work. It was too late to call anyone to ask them to Mapquest for us. What to do, what to do?
In stepped the iPhone and its amazing mapping ability. Within minutes I had new directions, a map to visually see the route and the specific miles and timing. It worked like a charm and got us to our destination. I love my iPhone.
Part 2
Since we are taking a beach vacation I decided not to take my MacBook Air. Little did I know we would be delayed for hours and hours. While I would not want to make a habit of it, I am quickly discovering what I have suspected for quite a while- there is very little computing that cannot be done using the iPhone. Just imagine what would / will be possible if using a Bluetooth keyboard and having access to word processing ever becomes possible.
Yes, as we all know, this is one powerful little device. It is certainly not "an iPod with a phone" as some initially said.
