The Primo is a cute little design – it’s certainly curvier than a lot of the big blocky batteries you can attach to the bottom of your iPhones (I call ‘em Klingons). It holds 800mAh of power (most external batteries sport around 1000-1200) so it can safely charge at least half of your iPhone’s battery. The Primo looks to charge via mini-USB, which is a real boon. It’s pain carrying that non-retractable white iPhone wire around.
My only concern lies with the charging port. It isn’t exactly sharp enough to hurt you, but it does protrude far enough out of the Primo that it could break if pressed at a bad angle. Considering the fact that Primo claims you can attach the Primo to your keychain, I think that’s prime port-breakage territory we’re talking about. However, this is one of those cases where waiting for user reviews will be best — it might not be half as bad as I think. The Primo ships on November 23, comes in black or white, and costs $35 for one charger or $90 for three.

The risk it breaks is too high for me. I was thinking of something like Xpal ipower. It's big and unconfortable, but it has a case that covers the port so it shouldn't break

the only trouble with this is you have now access to the earphone socket so can’t use it on the move
why didn’t the manufacturer think of this, it’s too obvious
well it wouldn't on an iPhone, but it definitely would on an iPod Touch.
