Xtand3

Up to now I have honestly never felt very excited about a stand for the iPhone – but the new Xtand has got me pretty close.  I just really like the solid, gadgety looks of this ‘full metal’ rotating stand, and also think it could prove dead useful on the desktop.

My iPhone tends to lay flat on my desk (at home or work) somewhere quite near my laptop.  Its cradle lives on a shelf near the desk.  This arrangement is fine, but the Xtand looks like a potentially much better home for the iPhone on a desk at home.  A stand of this kind seems like it could make iPhone usage at the desk just a bit faster – especially for things like phone calls, playing the iPod, or even watching the occasional video.  Plus, I just want something that hard-nosed looking on my desk :)

Xtand2

The Xtand’s features include:

  • All solid aluminum construction
  • 360 degrees rotation
  • Adjustable viewing angle
  • Cable management
  • Non-slip feet

The Xtand by Just Mobile should be available in June at a suggested retail price of $44.95.  Check out Just Mobile’s site for more details …

This is the only stand I’d buy to be honest, very nice.

I like the look of it a whole lot, as well. Since the “wings” holding the iPhone aren’t adjustable and a new iPhone with (likely) different dimensions is coming soon, though, I’d love this stand with the ability to hold devices of various sizes.
