BannedvsNot

Somebody needs to fire up a daytime soap called ‘As the App Store Turns’ real soon.  It seems to become more and more of a bad soap opera all the time just lately.  Just the new policy on no ‘overtly sexual’ apps could probably keep its own reality show going.

KRAPPS has the lowdown on the latest olympic gold worthy flip-flopping concerning a Hooters calendar app that has been accepted into the store, banned when the new policy kicked in, let back in, and now (incredibly) banned again.

But wait! Apple realized that removing the all-American Hooters app was a mistake … and a week later, on February 25, Hooters’ Calendar Sexy Screen Wash was re-approved for sale (with no change to its original content). Obviously a wise decision by Apple since the app skyrocketed into its category’s Top 25.
But wait! In typical bonehead fashion … less than two weeks later, Apple changed their mind once again and yesterday re-banned Hooters’ Calendar Sexy Screen Wash.
