From your review I've read that Gmail Push has some very nice features that PushGmail doesn't have. The quiet hours (I think any / all push apps need to have quiet hours settings) and customizable alert sounds.

Another problem I've noticed with these push gmail programs is some of them don't decode the message text nicely, instead you get an alert that reads

and it never gets to the actual email.

For me having the first line of text would be a very nice thing to have. Also having landscape would be a great addition, although I'm very used to portrait typing, sometimes those long emails can go a little quicker with landscape.

Great! Thanks – would love to win a copy. I think the biggest key feature would be reliability in getting the mail quickly.

I'll take one!

Key futures:
Tight integration with GMail (the best email service on earth).

I currently use IM+ to give me new gmail push notifications and it works well…will love to see what this app has to offer. Custom sound notifications on the push would be nice…based on contacts.

Push gmail and quiet hours!

I think landscape is a must in all iPhone apps especially mail apps. The quiet hours setting is very impressive and I'm anxious to try that out. Ideally I'd like to see a feature where you can choose certain senders or emails with keywords in the subject so you can have important emails pushed and other stuff like spam would not set off an alert.

Tried a few different apps for Gmail. Having issues with others and their servers. The key features to me is the badge notifications. I like keeping my mailboxes separate and knowing how many work emails and how many Gmail emails I have.

17 Damnskippy December 23, 2009 at 11:11 pm

Simple really, all the functions of gmail with a good UI, runs fast, stays up to date with any changes google makes, push notifications and alert badge notifications.

18 iGnome December 23, 2009 at 11:47 pm

If your not in you can't win!
The quiet hours function will be extremely popular with my wife, daughter and other people requiring my undivided attention in the evenings. Google is great and it's time I got push together, maybe if I'm lucky…
