*** For a bonus entry to increase your chance of winning, tell us about the worst Xmas gift you’ve ever given to someone.

That’s it! We’ll draw our five winners on Thursday (12/3/09) sometime after 1:00 pm US Central time.

Yes, I am one of those people shopping during the last few days. This app could come in handy for me :) The worst gift I have ever given someone was probably a few years back…. I made cookies for all my family members & I don't know how to bake…. I somehow got everyone sick from eating the cookies. I have never baked again to this day….. Anyone want a cookie?

I think this is a rather good idea. I’m entering, but, mainly to PayItForward to someone else. Some people have it so difficult at present, it would be nice to brighten someone’s day.

As for giving gifts to people, the worst I’ve SEEN (not done so myself) is a pen with a christmas leaf attached to it. It was done in a Dirty Santa game. Terrible really when everyone else bought gifts worth $10 or more!

As a matter of fact, I blogged about the pen, it’s here: http://naviculture.wordpress.com/2008/12/22/what-...

I once gave my girlfriend a DVD of Twilight. She made me watch it.

This would be nice, I just have a hard time figuring out ideas for people. I would say the worst gift I’ve given people are gift cards. Not that they are horrible, but I always feel like they’ll think I put no thought into their gift.

The worst Xmas gift I ever gave was the white elephant gift at work one year: a salt-&-pepper shaker set which was a porcelain lady lying on her back and her exposed, large, visible "set" were named "salt" and "pepper." It's probably on eBay right now.
