Baseball Slugger – which I reviewed HERE and which has become my favorite iPhone game – has just had an update, to Version 1.1.0.
This update offers a ‘new and simple UI’. The fantastic gameplay has not been altered – but the game does look a little easier to navigate.
Having Items listed right on the bottom of the main screen is a nice new touch, and the main sections buttons along the top of the main screen also work well.
Another good new feature is that the scoreboard in Arcade and Classic modes now shows both your current game’s score and your best score at that mode.
I think the ‘Scenes’ feature is new as well – or if it’s not then I have to say I never noticed it before. Now it’s a very noticeable button on the main screen that let’s you choose between a few different day and night sort of backgrounds to play on.
All in all, not a huge update by any means – but this game didn’t need that at all. It’s a superb game already. Seeing some nice, relatively subtle UI tweaks is nice though.
This latest version of Baseball Slugger is in the App Store now, priced at just $0.99.

Cool. Hope they'll keep up the good work, and add other small tweaks and new features over time, while always keeping the excellent gameplay.
