NFL 2010 is a new NFL football simulation game for the iPhone – that promises an ‘100% authentic NFL game experience with real teams, real players and real action’.
This one looks pretty good – and I don’t think Madden or any other NFL apps have come out for 2010 as yet – so it’s of even more interest right about now.
Here are a few of its features per its App Store page:
- An officially licensed NFL videogame: full teams’ rosters and the complete 2010 season
- Intuitive controls – move your player with the virtual pad, perform moves by touching the appropriate icon
- A large selection of playbooks with over 200 plays to choose from
- 3D graphics worthy of the best handled console simulations with players and stadiums entirely modeled in 3D
- Audio commentary during the match
It must be football season again, because I got to watch some (of the very, very pre-season variety) last night – so I may need to give this one a try soon. Let us know if you’ve already given it a go.
NFL 2010 is in the App Store now, and it’s priced at $7.99.

I regret getting this app. I love football and football games but I just think this isn't a good game.
Sorry to hear that. What's disappointing about it?
The gfx aren't that good and the style of the way you have to play the game. In my opinion its just not fun the way you have to do it. Really hard to control people on defense to do anything special like a sack and stuff.
Got it. That's a shame – but there should be a few more NFL games coming down the pipe soon.
