Sunday afternoon, Fathers Day, plenty of good sport on the airwaves – not the worst of times to think about a little glass of alcoholic refreshment perhaps
And here’s an essential type of app that fills a little gap on the iPhone - providing a native drinks / cocktail recipes guide.
This one is called TouchBar and is one of the first local iPhone apps for this purpose I’ve seen, although there have been plenty of web apps around for a while in this area.
The app is very basic right now, drab even to work with – with recipes rendered in plain text without any graphics to liven up the pages. It also does not appear to have the most extensive of lists of recipes, and could be organized and categorized better for ease of use.
It needs to do some ‘prettying up’ and probably adding some features or touches if it’s going to stand a chance against no doubt some others that may slot into into this category once the App Store opens – but for today, it’ll get the job done if you need a Tequila Sunrise recipe …

I like the iShot Machine app because it's more than just another recipe app with a million drinks. This is entertainment with a useful recipe database. Great for an icebreaker at a bar. http://www.iShotMachine.com
