Agile Messenger

It’s Halloween weekend and you know what that means: Rock Band for iPhone sale! I’ve been watching the game for a few weeks now, but I wasn’t convinced I’d love the game enough to pay $9.99 for it. This was the three dollar sale to break my wallet’s back.
It’s a good thing then that Rock Band plays like one of the most premium experiences on the iPhone. I don’t even need to like the songs to have a good time because the tapping mechanics are perfectly implemented. Hitting a string of notes and then activating a multiplier is insanely satisfying, and it’s the first game to ever make me contemplate in-app purchasing (extra songs, woot!). If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to become a Rock Band roadie then this weekend’s $6.99 sale is probably going to be one of the best opportunities you’ll see for a while. Rock on!

Is it really better than Tap Tap Revenge?

I'm loving the game, and I do like it more than TTR just because it features more mainstream songs. I don't really LOVE the song selection in Rock Band either, but the tapping mechanics just feel a lot more rewarding. TTR tapping feels alright, but "playing" a song in Rock Band really feels much more immersive.
