Holograms app for iPhone

Holograms is a new (or new to me anyway) iPhone app that lets you create ‘virtual holograms’ with your photos.  You can use existing pics from your photo library or take new ones within the app, and use its easy controls and sample effects to create wacky 3D looking images that work with the accelerometer and appear to ‘move’ as you tilt the iPhone.

After just a quick trial run with it this morning, I’d say the app is a lot of fun.  It’s another good ‘show off’ type app, to wow your friends with your cool 3D creations.  For instance, I was able to quickly make my devastatingly handsome Labrador look quite goofy and funny in just a few minutes.  I did another quick screencast that tries to show the effects a little better HERE.

I spotted this app via a post over at Gear Live, which also has a slick video demo from the app’s developer – check that out HERE.

The App Store is full with these dumbass "show off" apps. What about a call recorder or call manager.

Not sure what one thing has to do with the other. Don't think that fun, show-off type apps are somehow preventing anyone from developing call apps.
