Multifl0w launch methods

Multifl0w – the excellent new app switching app for the iPhone – has just had an update, to Version 1.1.

The new version has three noted changes:

  • Screenshots are now cached – which should resolve most issues with some apps not showing properly
  • Configurable ways of opening multifl0w
  • Application blacklisting – any checked app will not show up in mutlifl0w

Though updates and more choices are welcome, I’m disappointed to see that all invocation methods for the app still rely on hardware button presses.  I would really like to see a screen-based gesture a la SBSettings or mQuickDo added to the options – as I would far prefer that to home button presses. Hopefully that’s in the works for a future update, along with an ability to close apps from within multifl0w.

You can find multifl0w 1.1 in the Cydia store now.

I couldn’t have agreed with you more Patrick. There’s so much potential with this app to function similar to the Pre’s deck of cards system. One of the most essential functions that should be added is the ability to close a backgrounded app like Kirikae. But, I’m confident the developer will make some changes. Until then, mquickdo, backgrounder, and kirikae are an unbeatable combination ;)

I've read elsewhere issues with memory leaks. Have you noticed any leaks?

Possibly – I've had a couple of mobile substrate crashes just recently, and leading up to them it looked as if there were some memory headaches. I didn't get a chance to screencap or document anything just yet. I'll monitor this and comment further if I see further occurrences.
