CliffsNotes – the ultimate quick crib sheet for English and Literature classes (at least back in the day they were) – have come to the iPhone, in the form of the CliffNotes To Go series of apps.
The apps offer character, theme and plot summaries and analysis, interactive quiz features, and audio ‘CramCasts’.
Other features include:
- Multiple-choice quizzes
- Text-highlighting
- Interactive map links character associations and profiles quick reference
- Audio plot summaries
Apparently 40 CliffNotes To Go apps are planned for release during 2009 – and I can see five in the App Store so far.
I’ve always thought the iPhone is a tremendous study tool for folks of any age – and I’m keen to see how popular (or not) these CliffNotes apps will be.
