This application shows your current Skype Credit balance. Very useful to keep costs transparent while using SkypeOut or when forwarding Skype calls to your phone. This product logs into the Skype web account like a normal web-browser but is not endorsed, certified or otherwise approved in any way by Skype.

The thing is, the free Skype app, published and presumably endorsed, certified and otherwise approved by Skype, also gives you this information – for free.
I’m hoping / assuming maybe the release of this app was just bad timing, and its publishers didn’t realize the Skype app was about to come out. Or is this aimed at folks who are willing to pay a dollar for an app that only shows them their Skype balance?
Oh well, plenty of bizarre and wonderful new stuff on the App Store this morning …
