Opera Software, maker of the world’s most popular mobile Web browser, plans to reveal Opera Mini for iPhone in an exclusive press and partner preview during the 2010 Mobile World Congress (MWC). Visit Opera’s exhibit in Hall 1, C44, to witness a new way to surf the Web on the iPhone — an experience that Opera promises will be fast, easy to use, and packed with favorite Opera features.
The Opera Mini browser – popular on Windows Mobile and other mobile platforms – is on its way to the iPhone, or at least to being submitted for approval and entry into the App Store.
I haven’t used or seen the Opera browser in years and am perfectly happy with Safari on the iPhone, but I’m all for some healthy competition and alternatives as well.
Are you excited to see Opera coming to the iPhone? Would it displace Safari on your phone if it gets approved and works as expected?

I just found you out while googling , and this a really nice blog.
Expect me to be a frequent visitor here. Thanks
Glad you found us – welcome and look forward to seeing you here more.
I’ve already dumped Safari into a Storage folder in Categories. If Opera can stand up to Perfect Browser then I’ll be interested.
If Firefox gets something in the App Store my interest might perk up – until then, I'm good.
Have you used Opera mini? It's faster, uses less bandwidth and is more customizable than Safari and even has a working cache! A first for the iPhone. I'd like to see FF there too but Opera is my first choice on mobile devices.
Years ago, and not for long. I don't feel any great need for any customization on a mobile browser. What do you mean by working cache?
