Some very good news today for any of you who are jailbroken and keen to try out some video tweeting on your iPhone 3G or even V1 iPhones. qTweeter – the super cool jailbreak app that lets you swipe from anywhere in the OS to update Twitter and Facebook – has updated to Version 2.0. Here’s the big addition in the new version:
qTweeter 2.0 has arrived. It is the world’s first and only Twitter and Facebook status update app that lets you video tweet on the original iPhone, the iPhone 3G( both running OS 3.0 ) and the iPhone 3GS.
There are very few things that tempt me to jailbreak these days. qTweeter is certainly one of them. Good work by Efiko and thanks to our good friend Tunji Afonja for sharing the news.
You can check out a video tweet done by a qTweeter user HERE.

The only thing that sucks about it, is that you have to bring up qtweeter, click the camera, switch to video and shoot live. You can send a pre-recorded video through qtweeter. Or at least I didn't see the option. If I'm mistaken, please let me know.
A response from the guys at Efiko Support:
"Thanks for your comments. You can record video directly by selecting the menu icon in qTweeter. You then select, Add Video, from which you can choose to record a new video or select from your library"
You should mention that it's a free TRIAL. Then you donate and unlock the full app. Not sure the limitations of Trial v. Full, but I'm downloading the trial now …
Yes, that's true – not sure on what the full price is. The product's info page is at:

Ah, I had the old version, new version fixed the issue. Way to go Efiko software
I love this app! The only thing I don't like about it is that they call it donation ware, but it stops working after you post 15 tweets with the free version. So just call it a commercial app with a free trial, won't ya? Anyway, this is such a brilliant app (for heavy duty Twitterers like me – @aalaap), I paid the $2.99 and registered it. I totally love it!
