I’m actually playing with the free app, TweetDeck, right this moment, but I got excited by the TechCrunch article covering Tweetie 2.1 update. The major new features seem to be geo-location support and some very cool integration for the new Retweet system. Instead of the letters “RT” being displayed as part of a retweet you’ll now see a pink arrow beside a post to indicate that it’s a reposted tweet. I’m actually not sure if this saves you precious characters because I haven’t used this new system yet, but it does look a lot cleaner than the current one.  There’s also a bit of support for lists, although I won’t comment on that since I still don’t follow enough people to even need lists :)

There’s still a giganto list of changes for 2.1 in the TC article, so it’s worth a look if you’re a Tweetie 2 fan.
