iAmCharged iPhone app

iAmCharged is a simple new iPhone app that lets you know when your iPhone is fully charged, or how much time is required to get it to fully charged status.

As you would guess, it’s a pretty simple app, but it has a few little features and seems to do a nice job from my very quick testing of it.

Here are a few of its features:

  • Get estimates on how much time it will take to fully charge your battery
  • Get an audible notification when the battery charge is completed
  • Differentiates between completion of fast charge and full charge
  • Charge graph displays current charging session and previous session details
  • Choose between to different main displays
  • Choose between 7 different audible notifications (standard, funny etc)
  • Set notification repetition time

iAmCharged for iPhone

The app is specifically designed for OS 3.0, and you do need to have it open and running when you connect to a charger for it to work of course.

While testing it, it has had a few times where the battery percentage remaining that it shows is different to that shown in the status bar, but they seem to agree whenever it’s fully juiced.

I quite like it’s small set of sounds for use with its alerts.  My current favorite is a spoken voice that says “I’m so ready”.

I’m not sure I’ll feel a big need for this app on a frequent basis, but I like the idea of it, and it’s well executed.

You can find iAmCharged in the App Store now, for $0.99.

I saw another app like this…I personally find this type of app not really applicable for me(like that? This APP does not APPLY! LOL). I'm usually draining my phone so much during the day that it only gets quick bursts of charge when i'm stationary for a few minutes. But when I gotta go, I gotta go and my phone's coming with me…fully charged or not! :) It normally only gets to 100% when i'm sleeping.
