SmackTalk – which is by far and away the most hilariously fun and funny app for the iPhone I’ve ever come across – has just been updated, to Version 1.3.
If you haven’t tried out SmackTalk yet, especially if you have kids around, do it! It is a simple and superb app that features four animals that mimic every word you say and sound you make, in hilarious freaky and squeaky voices.
I’ve installed the latest update and played with it just a little this morning with my daughter, but we have grandparents visiting, so we’ll get to know it better later.
This is a big update though. Here are just some of its new features:
- Pinch to change the pitch of the voice in real-time, from Freaky to Squeaky
- Pinch to change the speed of the voice in real-time from slow to fast
- ‘Record Now’ with manual override. Hold to record, release to playback
- ‘Say Again’ button with manual override. Plays the last thing you recorded.
- Fine-tuned performance for each device: 2nd Gen iPod Touch, 1st generation iPhone, and 3G.
- Fully tested for OS 2.2.1 and OS 3.0
SmackTalk is high on my list of all-time favorite apps, and I reviewed it HERE. I was also lucky enough to get a chance to do an interview with SmackTalk’s creator – you can check that out HERE if you like.
Happy SmackTalking!
