minimal music

One of the horrible things about skinning is that it’s really addicting, and now I’m looking for all sorts of aspects of my iPhone’s UI that I can swap out like cartridges. The iPod interface is the latest area to fall prey to my obsession, and one skin I tried out last night is called Minimal Music by Manic Nimrod. The buttons are almost invisible and the volume slider blends in with the background, so the emphasis is on the album art. It still feel a little too top heavy for me to think of it as minimal, but I’ll try it out for a little longer at least.

It’s not on Cydia or Rock right now, so you’ll need to download and install it manually. There are four variations in the theme, each in its own folder. All you need to do is take the folders you want (i.e. “Minimal Music Mini”) and dump it into your iPhone’s file system in the following location: /Library/Themes. Once that’s done, all you need to do is tick the theme off in Winterboard and you’re all set.

Loving this Music skin.

Also, I totally agree with your adictions comment. I’m obsessed with trying to get my iPhone to look perfect but I simply cannot satisfy my addiction :P
