Today Basic, a warm and sunny iPhone task manager for the simple things

March 17, 2010

Today Basic is a very intriguing little task manager demo. It’s really the free/lite version of Today Todo Pro, and it has me interested enough that I plan on reviewing the full version soon. Today Basic’s greatest claim to fame is its fascinating visual interface, consisting of two main screens: today and yesterday.
Today is a [...]

2Do updated to 1.2.2: Toodledo sync, better Outlook sync, faster quick adding, and more! [iPhone App Updates]

February 24, 2010

2Do, the now award-winning task manager for the iPhone, can now execute OTA syncs with Toodledo, the popular cloud-based task and notes service. I haven’t tried this functionality out myself as I’m off playing with Taskpaper, but this new addition means that 2Do now syncs with three services: Toodledo, Outlook, and iCal.
The other notable changes [...]

Taskpaper, a paper-like task list on your iPhone [iPhone Apps]

February 15, 2010

Taskpaper likely won’t help me with my efficiency, but it sure looks like it might make data entry a little easier. Everything within the respective iPhone and Mac applications is really just formatted text that’s separated by bullet points or line breaks. The result is a UI that should be incredibly simple to understand and [...]

2Do task manager updated: projects, checklists, Outlook Sync, and more [iPhone App Updates]

January 14, 2010

The 2Do update that Guided Ways released last night is so big, it’s hard to believe it’s a mere dot upgrade. Didn’t we just see v1.1 in December 2009? (We did.)
The changes to the app are so numerous that it’s really best to link you to the version history on Guided Way’s website. However, I [...]

2Do Lite released for iPhone

December 9, 2009

2Do is my current task manager, but it’s not exactly in impulse buy territory at $5.99 (though it is cheaper than Things or ToDo at their $9.99 price point). 2Do Lite, on the other hand, may be a great way for you to see if you like the app’s way of organizing things into calendars [...]

2Do for iPhone updated to 1.1: more task options, even better UI, a new icon, and more!

December 5, 2009

I’m really liking the updates this December! First SoundHound 3.0, and now 2Do 1.1? It’s almost too much. Almost.
Patrick reviewed the first version of the app, but it’s improved a fair amount since then and the developers seem to be quite aggressive about adding features and refining the app (they’ve got a neat little roadmap [...]

Review: ReQall for iPhone, type or dictate to this free reminder service

November 25, 2009

Like Google Calendar or Google Tasks, ReQall is smart enough to parse your information and act on keywords. If I were to write “Contact He-Man, Master of the Universe, tomorrow at 12 PM” inside of Things I’d just create a task of the same name with no due date. However, if I type or say [...]

The “not Roadmap” for Things, task manager for Mac and iPhone

August 11, 2009

There was a cool update on the Things blog recently talking about, well, upcoming things. They’re planning new features for the Mac and iPhone task managers, the most exciting of which is probably over-the-air (OTA) syncing. Things can currently only sync over a local wi-fi connection, so both devices have to be on the same [...]
